Pocket Finance lets you take your banking on the road. The basic steps for using Pocket Finance are:

1. Export records from Quicken or Microsoft Money and transfer the file to your Handheld PC (H/PC). Chapter 2 talks about this step.
2. Use Pocket Finance to enter transactions while you are on the road. Chapter 3 talks about this step.
3. Transfer the file back to your desktop PC and import the data into Quicken or Money. Chapter 4 talks about this step.

Pocket Finance uses Quicken Interchange Format (QIF) files. This format can be imported and exported by both Quicken and Money.

On the H/PC, the data is stored in a compressed format that minimizes the memory used.
